She was a sister of John W PATTERSON, Esq., the crier of the quarter sessions court. He is now the only survivor of the old PATTERSON family. The deceased leaves two sons, Edward (sic) and Charles, and one daughter, Mrs LANG. Her husband was a member of the Fourteenth Pennsylvania cavalry and she was a member of the Col. Geary circle, Ladies of the G A R, as also a life-long member of the Smithfield Street M E Church. NOTES: Interment for both George and Evaline are in Allegheny Cemetery (Section 29, Lot 112), in a PATTERSON family plot. The children who survived to adulthood were Charles, Edith and Edgar. Their children who died in childhood are buried in the PATTERSON plot. Some evidence suggests that George may have initially been buried in a family plot in Fetterman Cemetery, which was part of or near 'the old Patterson homestead' of Lower St Clair / West Liberty borough. Evaline's parents were John and Elizabeth PATTERSON. Her known siblings included John W (noted above), Caroline (who married Jacob HANEY), and Matilda (who married Isaac McILVAINE).
