All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/ ________________________________________________ Taken from McDonald Pa Outlook 24 Nov 1921 Following an illness of one day of meningitis, Robert Griffith THOMASSY, of Burgettstown, died Sunday night at 6 o'clock while being taken to a Pittsburgh hospital in an automobile. He was aged seven years, having been born October 8, 1914. He was a son of George and Olive LIGGETT THOMASSY. Sunday morning the young boy who had been in the best of health complained of being ill and his condition grew worse and the physician advised that he be taken to the hospital at once. His condition rapidly became more serious and his death occurred while en route to the hospital. Besides his parents, the boy is survived by one brother George and three sisters, Lois, Helen and Jean. A pupil in the Burgettstown schools, he was a bright energetic boy and his sudden death will be deeply felt by his young friends and playmates. Funeral services were held from the THOMASSY home in Burgettstown, Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment was in the Independence cemetery.
