White, formerly of this city, youngest son of John W. and Harriet E. White, deceased, died at his home No. 7, Braddock Avenue, Pittsburg, on Friday evening, Dec. 27, at 5.30 o'clock after a lingering illness. He was born in Hollidaysburg a number of years ago, moving to Altoona when quite a young boy. Mr. White has many friends in this city, who will hear of his death with much regret. He has been a resident of Pittsburg for the past sixteen years. He is survived by a wife, Mrs. Ella White and two daughters, Luella, aged 15, and Izella aged 10 years and a brother, W. B. White, of Pittsburg, also by one brother, J. M. White, and one sister, Miss Lizzie White, of this city. Mr. White while a resident of Altoona was employed in the store of W. J. Heinsling, and later by the P.R.R. company. His last employment prior to his illness and death, was by the Westinghouse Manufacturing Co. Mr. White was a consistent Christian. He was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church when a young man of eighteen years of age. He later connected himself with the Christian and Missionary Allicance of this city, and at the time of his demise was a member of the East End Tabernacle of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Pittsburg. He was interred in Prospect Cemetery at Tarentum, Allegheny county, on Monday. Altoona Tribune, Saturday, January 4, 1919, page 9
