OBITUARIES - PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE - SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2009

ZVIRBLIS, Sister Marietta OSF
Sister Marietta Zvirblis, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of 
the Providence of God for 63 years, died at the Motherhouse at the 
age of 83 on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Born November 5, 1925, in 
Detroit, Michigan, she was preceded in death by her parents, John 
and Anna, her sisters, Anna, Mary, Sophie, Veronica and Valerie and 
brothers, John, Alphonse and Stanley. She is survived by nieces and 
nephews. She spent many years ministering to children-St. Gabriel, 
St. Valentine, SS. Peter and Paul, St. Mary Magdalen and was the 
founder of the Franciscan Child Day Care Center. Sister also 
dedicated many years of service to St. Gabriel Parish. Friends 
will be received at the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence 
of God Motherhouse on Sunday from 1-4PM and Monday from 10AM-4PM 
and 6-8PM. A wake service will be held on Sunday at 6:00PM. Mass 
of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 10:30AM in the Motherhouse 
Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of 
St. Francis of the Providence of God, 3603 McRoberts Road, Pittsburgh,
