All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/ _______________________________________________ ASHENFELTER - MOORE At an informal ceremony Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the First Presbyterian church at Hollidaysburg, Shirley Lee Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Bernard Moore of Pittsburgh, became the bride of Richard Lloyd Ashenfelter of Springfield, Ill. Preceding the ceremony Anne Elliott sang "One Alone" and "Because." Miss Charlotte Kunzig presided at the organ. Rev. T. Stacy Capers, pastor of the church, officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white afternoon gown with a green and white flowered hat, and carried an arm bouquet of mixed summer flowers. Mr. and Mrs. William Bingham of State College were the only attendants. Mrs. Bingham, who is the former Sally Moore, sister of the bride, was dressed in yellow and carried an arm bouquet of mixed flowers. A reception followed the ceremony at the Eldon Inn in Roaring Spring. The bridal couple left for a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, Wis. After July 27, they will be at home in Springfield, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Moore formerly lived in Hollidaysburg while the bride's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Besierck, were lifelong residents of the county seat.
