All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Diane Lentz Family_Searcher@verizon.net August 31, 2004, 10:33 pm Source: Number 337 Vol. 6 Written: February 26 1849 Recorded: April 14 1849 Elizabeth Hall’s Will No. 337 Vol. 6 Recorded April 14th 1849 In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Hall of the County of Allegheny in the State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but sound mind memory and understanding but considering the uncertainty of this life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit 1st it is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expences be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto James Findly Sr. one dollar Item I give and bequeath unto my son William Hall two dollars 4th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah McCormick two dollars 5th I give and bequeath fifteen dollars to each of my grandchildren who are named as follows viz John Findly James Findly Samuel Findly Elizabeth Findly (Now Elizabeth Simmand) and Nancy Hall (daughter of John) And as touching all the rest residue and remainder of my estate real and personal of what kind or nature whatsoever the same may be in the County little of Allegheny aforesaid or elsewhere I give and devise the same unto my four children Samuel John and James Hall and Sarah Crozier and to their heirs and assigns for ever to be equally among them if they can agree as touching the division of the property. if not I direct that my Executors sell all and divide the proceeds equally among the four I further direct the cash bequest paid at the end of one year after my decease and lastly I nominate appoint and constitute James Hall and Chas. Carothers to be the Executors of this my will hereby revoking all other wills legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand seal this twenty sixth day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty nine Elizabeth Hall (her mark) Signed sealed and declared in presence of us J. Hall C. Carothers Allegheny County Be it known that on the tenth day of April AD 1849 personally came before me John Scott Register for the probate of wills ? in and for said County James Hall and C. Carothers subscribing witnesses to the forgoing instrument of writing who being by me duly sworn did depose and say that they saw and heard the testator sign with her mark seal publish and declare it as being her last will and testament.
