Thanks be to God Considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, And being desireous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave the world when it shall pleas God to call me hence. I do therefore mak and publish this my last will and testament, in (undistinguishable word) and form following. That is to say---- First and Principaly I commit my soul into hands of Almighty God, and my Body to the earth, to be decently buried at the descesiam of my executors, herein after named, and after my Debts and funeral charges are paid I devise and bequeath as follows-------------- First I bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Hall all the plantation on which I now reside for and during the term of Eight years (the quantity it contains is three hundred and five acres) during said time She is to keep the plantation in good repair, and keep and support the minor Children free of all expense and at the expiration of Eight years it is my will that my said plantation should be sold either at private or publick sale according as my executors thinks proper and the money to be divided Equally among my nine children reserving the one third of the money to be put to Interest for the use of my beloved wife Elizabeth Hall to be given to her year and yearly during her life and at her death to be Divided as aforesaid between Hannah Hall, William Hall, Sarah Hall Elizabeth Hall Rachel Hall Samuel Hall James Hall, John Hall and Jane Hall reducing seventy dollars off Hannah Halls share to be given to Washington Stewart, and it is my will that my Executors pay to the said Washington thirty Dollars more after he arrives at the age of twenty one years--------------------------------------------------- Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved wife one Horse and two calves, one bead and beading one Bureau. It is my will that all my personal propert will all they outstanding Debts coming to me be divided among my Nine Children also, reserving the property left to my beloved wife Elizabeth Hall, out of the whole------------------------------- And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Charles Carothers and Joseph Reed both of Allegheny County to be my sole executors of this my last will and testament, revoking and anuling all former will by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament, In testimony whereof I have hereinto set my hand and affixed my seal this Twenty Seventh Day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventeen.
