Court House Written: April 17, 1837 Recorded: November 6, 1839 Will of Robert Henderson In the name of God Amen, I Robert Henderson being in a weakly state of health but in sound mind and memory Thanks be to the Almightly God and knowing the uncertainty of this life do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following, viz I first commit my body to the dust to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my executor hereafter named and my soul to God who gave it as to my worldly estate I have heretofore give my son John his full share to my son Alexander I give and bequeath fifty acres of land where he now resides as laid off by John Morgan to my son Thomas I give fifty acres of land where he resides as laid off by said Morgan and to my son James I give fifty acres of land now under the outpay of Hugh Coyer as surveyed by the said John Morgan but it is also my will that my son James is not to sell or lease the said fifty acres of land without the consent of my Executor the balance and residue of my real estate my will is that my Executor shall rent it out as he shall think it proper and the proceeds after expenses of taxes repairs be paid go equally divided between my three daughters to wit Elizabeth Coyer, Nancy Henderson and Mary Prentice. As to my personal property I give and bequeath to my son James and my daughter Nancy viz I give the bay mare, the farming utensils and one bed to my son James the sorrel mare and all the residue of my personal estate I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy after my just debts and funeral expenses be paid, but it is my will that if my executor shall at any time think it is most advisable to sell the land above mentioned I hereby authorize him to do so and convey it to whomsoever may be the purchaser and then pay proceeds thereof to my said daughters or to their heirs as he shall think most prudent. I hereby appoint my son John Henderson to be executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking any will or wills heretofore made declaring this to be my only true will. In witness where of I have unto set my hand and seal the 17th day of April 1837 Signed in presence of John Stevenson and Thomas Henderson. This was registered on the 6th day of November 1839 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.
