Will of Alexander McAlister written December 7, 1800 - recorded March 24, 1801 In the Name of God Amen I Alexander McAlister the .... of George Town at present Allegheny County and by a late law laid off in a separate county called Beaver County but not yet organized in the State of Pennsylvania being weak in Body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say First I give and bequeath unto my Loving wife Amy McAlister four of the Bonds first due by Alexander Gray of Twenty five Pounds each amounting to one Hundred Pounds also two bonds on Philip Ducomte(?) I think about one Hundred sixty or seventy Dollars and The mantion House that I now live in it is my will and I Desire that there be an addition built to it and the whole put in compleat(sic) tenantable repair & rented to the best advantage and the profits thereof I will and bequeath in perpetuity to my Daughter Hanah McAlister but that on account what ever it shall be sold, to my Grandson Alexander McAlister son of my son William McAlister I give and bequeath fifty Pounds of the Bonds last due by Alexander Gray. To my son Alexander McAlister I give and bequeath Twenty Pounds of the money first become due by Alexander Gray not already above appropriated and all other part of my estate Real & Personal (my house hold furniture excepted) it is my will and desire should he divided in six equal shares first reserving a Sufficiency to discharge my debts which are but few and also to repair the mantion House as above directed and after deducted one of each shares to each of my Children viz. William, Alexander, Hanah, James McAlister and Jane Calhoon and the remainder share to my wife Amy McAlister to whom the said Amy I give and bequeath all my Household furniture and do by ----- ------- (?) nominate ordain and appoint Binon Dawson the elder and John Bever Cash (?) of the same County and state to be my executors in whom I repose perfect trust to execute the foregoing will.
