Michaels, transcribed from a photocopy of original filed in Register of Wills Office, Allegheny County Courthouse, Pittsburgh, PA, Dkt. WB, Vol. 68, page 517, #268 June 25, 1900 Homestead, Pa. To all whom it may concern after due considerations I write this my will & testament that I do herby will and bequeath and give after my death to have to wit one half of the all houshold goods owned by me to be divided equal to my beloved son David T. Michaels and neice Margetta Williams and also the house & lot on wich we live in 15th Ave. Homestead as follows to every one thousand dollars of it value clear of all debt to my loved son sixs 10ths sixs teenths and to my beloved niece Margetta Williams four teenth and in case of death of one or the other the survivor in inherets all if my son lives to become of 21 years of age before death he is then free to do with the same as he wishes, and I charge them both to be good and kind to eachother and to see that neither wants for a good home and in case both should die before they are 21 years of ages everything shall go to my Brothers and sister living equaly Divided and I also will and bequeath to my son David T. Michaels all my right title and interests in my right as Heir to my father Thomas W. Michaels estate wich is one fifth and in case of death of my beloved son before twenty one years of age this interests goes to my Brothers and sister living. And when my death occurs see that I am Buried along side of Blanche my beloved wife. And being in good health and sound mind and appoint my Brother Ellis Michaels executor of this my will. William Michaels State of Pennsylvania Allegheny County, SS: Be it known, That on the 15th day of January A.D. 1902 before me, Fred. W. Edwards, Register of Wills, &c., in and for the County aforesaid, came David T. Michaels and John W. Michaels, and on their solemn oath did depose and say that they were well acquainted with William Michaels the testator named in the foregoing instrument of writing and familiar with his handwriting and signature, and that the signature of William Michaels to the said writing is in his own proper handwriting, as they verily believe. David T. Michaels John W. Michaels Sworn and subscribed before me this above date. Fred. W. Edwards Register Now, January 15th A.D. 1902, the testimony of the above named witnesses being sufficient, I do hereby admit the foregoing Will to Probate and order the same to be recorded as such. Given under my hand the above date. Fred. W. Edwards Register. ***************************************************************************** Burial record from Homestead Cemetery indicate he died from heart failure, and is buried in Lot 23, section C. Cemetery records also record as having been buried in the family plot: 1) his mother Mary E. Michaels, from South Wales, died in Farrell, PA. 2) his wife Olive Blanche, died 03 Oct 1898,Homestead, PA., age 28, died of consumption. 3) his son, William R. Michaels, died 01 Sep 1890, aged 01 yr, 02 months, 14 days, of indigestion. 4) brother-in-law, Charles Lowe. (research note-no grave markers were erected for any of these family members) Allegheny County Inventory on Estate was taken on 18 Jan 1902, by Wm. J. Ford and David T. Michaels. The Estate was valued at $141.50. Estate papers for William M. Michaels were also filed in the Register of Wills Office, Cambria County Courthouse, Ebensburg, PA, file #6709. 05 Sep 1908, David T. Michaels, Guardian, is released from guardianship of D.T. Michaels, Jr. Recorder of Deeds Office, Allegheny County Courthouse, Pittsburgh, PA, Vol. 1596, page 361
