Reniers of Turtle Creek, Patton Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, mindful of the uncertainty of life and being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and annulling all former Wills made by at any time heretofore. It is my wish and I do hereby direct that my body, after death, shall be burned and the ashes deposited in the family lot now held by me in Homewood Cemetery. As soon as conveniently may be after my decease I direct that my Executors hereinafter named shall fully discharge and satisfy all my just debts and funeral expenses. As to such estate as it has pleased God, in his infinite wisdom, to entrust me with, I do dispose of the same in manner following. All my household goods I give to my wife and my daughter Mary, jointly. And upon the death of one her share shall rest in the survivor. Should I die seized of the land where my home now is situated at Turtle Creek, in the Township and County aforesaid, I direct that it be sold by my executors as soon as possible, not, however, until a reasonable price shall be offered for it, satisfactory to them. After such sale I direct the proceeds to be invested in mortgages at the best rate of interest that may be conveniently obtained; and the interest so derived shall be over half yearly for the support jointly of my wife during her life, and my daughter Mary, so long as she remains a single woman. Should my daughter Mary decide to marry her share in the interest aforesaid shall then end. And should her marriage occur before the death of my wife then the whole of the interest shall go to my wife during her life; and my daughter Mary shall, in that event, stand in an equal position with my other children upon the final division of my estate. On the death of my wife the annuity to her and to my daughter Mary shall cease, and the final division of my estate shall be made, as soon as the investment can be converted into money. If the land be sold and the proceeds invested so as to produce a fair income, I recommend that it be so left unless two of the three executors should be able to increase the income without endangering the principal. After my debts have been discharged the balance of my monies on deposit in Bank, in business, or due me by others on the book accounts of my business, shall be divided into three parts, the first whereof shall be given to my wife to use as she may elect. The other two parts shall be left for my sons Thomas H. Reniers and William Reneirs, respectively, to be used by them in their business. They shall be responsible for their shares and pay for the use thereof yearly interest of six per centum, which interest shall be added to the before mentioned interest arising from the sale of the aforementioned land, and investment of the proceeds thereof, and shall be for the support of my wife and my daughter Mary, subject to the conditions heretofore mentioned and imposed. At the final division of the estate my two sons, Thomas H. Reniers and William Reniers, shall be charged with the parts or portions alluded to, and be deducted from their shares. The stock at my place of business, and all that may pertain thereto, consisting, as it does, of divers and sundry objects. I give to my two sons, Thomas H. Reniers and William Reniers, as a recognition and reward for their faithful assistance to me in my business, which stock shall be shared by them in equal parts, and they shall become equal partners and my successors in my business. At the final division of the estate I direct that the first one hundred dollars be paid over to my son Cornelius Reniers, if he be living, and his residence or whereabouts be known to my executors, within two months from the time when he shall be entitled to the amount intended for him. After deducting the share for Cornelius, should it be possible to pay it to him, under the conditions indicated, I direct that the balance shall be divided into equal portions, one of which shall be given to my daughter Mary Reniers, one to my daughter, Alice, now Mrs. William Bentley, one to my son, Thomas H. Reniers and one to my son, William Reniers. The portion of my daughter Fannie Addison Hunter, now deceased, shall be given to her two children, Mary and Florence; and one sister in the event of the other sister's death shall inherit the other's share, provided she die without lawful issue. Should they both be dead at the time of the final division of my estate, then their shares shall revert to my above mentioned children, or their heirs. To my grandson, James Reniers, I give a certain silver medal presented to me by The Franklin Institute of Philadelphia, in testimony of meritorious work. To my grandson, Peter Bentley, I give a bronze medal, also presented to me by The Franklin Institute. To my granddaughter, Mary Hunter, I give a bronze medal presented to me by an Agricultural Society, and a diploma given me by the same society shall be for my granddaughter, Florence Hunter. I do hereby nominate and appoint my two sons, Thomas H. Reniers and William Reniers, and my daughter Mary Reniers, to be the executors of this my Will. In witness whereof I, Peter C. Reniers, the testator, have to this my Will set my hand and seal this 14th day of May, A.D. 1892. Peter C. Reniers. (Seal) Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Peter C. Reniers, as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto, in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other. Andw Peebles. F. P. Shroud. Edwin W. Smith. _______________________________ Codicil I Peter C. Reniers, the within named testator, do hereby make and publish this codicil to be added to, and considered as a part of my Last Will and Testament, bearing date the fourteenth day of May, 1892, in manner following, to wit: Item. Whereas, by Deed dated the eleventh day of October, 1892, and recorded in the Recorder's office of Allegheny County, Pa. I do now declare my will to be thet, should I die seized of said property, the same shall rest in fee simple in my two sons, Thomas H. Reniers and William Reniers, their heirs and assigns. Should the provisions of this codicil take effect, I direct that, at the lapse of the d(??) interest of my wife upon her death, my two sons aforesaid shall be chargeable forthwith to my estate with the price, thirteen hundred and fifty ($1350) dollars, and not with the value thereof, through natural enhancement. I make this provision to my two sons as a reward for the fidelity they have manifested for my interests. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of December, 1892.
