Vol.,11,pages 356-357 1865 No.216 Last Will and Testament of William Woods In the name of God I,William Woods of Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, State of Pennsylvania. Do make and publish, This my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. 1st. I give and bequeath to my wife, Barbara Woods the use of the west room and kitchen in my house during her life, also to be maintained com- fortably in health and sickness by my son James, also all of my house- hold and kitchen furniture to be at her disposal, but if any should re- main at her death not disposed of I give that to my son James and re- quiring him to pay all funeral expenses. 2nd. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Elizabeth Woods five hundred dollars to be paid by my son James, in five equal payments, payment commencing one year after my decease with interest. 3rd. I give and bequeath to my daugher, Jane Eba all that piece or parcel of land on which she now resides containing about thirty six acres, joining lands of Joseph Sutton, Henry Stoner and others in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County and State of Pennsylvania. To hold to her and heirs and assigns forever. 4th. I give and bequeath to my son James Woods all the residue of my real and personal estate to hold to him his heirs and assigns forever, subject to the payment of the above Legacy and support of his Mother. 5th. I constitute and appoint my son, James (Woods) Executor of this Will. 6th. If any varience should rise out of this Will, I appoint Joseph Sutton, Joseph Pearse and John Gamble Junior to hear and decide on the same whose decision shall be final or a majority of them. In case of the above absence or death of any of the said men, the other two may choose another in his place. Witness my hand and seal this 11th day of May 1861 William Woods (seal) Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said William Woods to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have by his request witnessed the same the day of the above date. Richardson, Register of Will and in and for the County aforesaid came, John Gamble and Hiram Gamble the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Instrument of writ- ing who being duly sworn did defuse and say that they were present and did see and hear the Testator, William Woods sign, seal, publish and de- clare the same as and for his Last Will and Testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind and disposing memory to the best of their knowledge and belief and in his presence and at his request they signed their names as witnesses.
