The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------------- In the name of God Amen I Michael Zimmerman of Plum township Allegheny County Penn. - Being of Sound and disposi =ng mind memory and understanding - but being aware of the uncertainty of life and desirous to settle all my worldly affairs whilst I have strength and capacity so to do - do make and publish this my last will and testament; hereby revoki =ng and making void all wills by me at any time heretofore made - To my wife Elizabeth I give and bequeath two cows six sheep two beds bedsteds and beding, one bureau one mant =le clock one half dozen chairs, one cupboard and capbord furniture one table and as much of the kitchen furniture as may be necessary for his use all to be selected by his self out of my goods and chattel - and the balance of my personal property to be sold soon after my decease to pay my just debts funeral expense and the administring the estate &c - and further to my wife I give and bequeath my farm on which I now reside adjoining lands of John Linn Joseph Scott and others to have and to receive all the rents issues and proffits during his natural life for his support and for the support of my daughter Minah Zimmerman - and at the decease of my wife I give and bequeath my farm afore mentioned to my son William Zimmerman and his heirs for ever by him & the said Wm paying the following bequeaths /viz/ to my daughter Elizabeth Soles I give and bequeath two dollars - to my daughter Margaret McKimmins, I give and bequeath two hundred dollars to be paid by my son Wm as follow /viz/ fifty dollars, one year after the decease of my wife fifty dollars three years after the decease of my wife fifty dollars five years after the decease of my wife and fifty dollars seven years after the decease of my wife - to my daughter Mary Jordan I give and bequeath two hundred dollars to be paid by my son Wm as follows /viz/ fifty dollars two years after the decease of my wife fifty dollars four years after the decease of my wife fifty dollars six years after the decease of my wife and fifty dollars eight years after the decease of my wife - and it is further my will and desire that my daughter Minah be comfortably supported by my son William after my farm comes into his hands and in =case Wm does not give his a comfortable support it is my will that my executors hereinafter mentioned rent my farm to the best advantage so that she have a com =fortable support during his natural life - I do hereby constitute and appoint Robert Carothers the executor of this my last will & testament - In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the 29th day of July AD 1836 - Signed & sealed in presence of Michael Zimmerman (SEAL) Robert Carothers Wm Carothers Allegheny County SS Be it remembered that on the 4th day of April A.D. 1839. personally came before me J. McCulley Register &c in and for said County Robert Carothers and William Carothers the above subscribing witnesses who being sworn saith that they heard and saw Michael zimmerman sign seal publish and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as & for his last will and testament and that at the time he done so he was of sound mind and memory to the best of their knowledge and belief - given under my hand the above date.
