Brown buwbrown@comcast.net July 30, 2008, 8:58 am Complaint made before John Downey, Alderman of the City of Pittsburgh, by Maria Romana of the Boro of Brinton, mother of Rosa Romana, a minor born on Dec. 24, 1886. Rosa is incorrigible and vicious, will not attend school, is a very bad girl and stays away from home. (Signs by mark) Lucia Izzo testifies the same. (Signs by mark) Vincenzo Izzo deposes that Rosa will not do anything her parent tells her. Runs the sreets and will not stay home. Additional Comments: Notes made upon the girl's arrival at the Pennsylvania Reform School, Morganza, Pa.: Rosa Romana. Father dead. Mother Maria Romana lives at Brinton near Braddock, Allegheny Co. Was well treated at home. Sent her for refusing to work and staying away from home. Description: Height 4'9 1/4"; weight 93 pounds. Brown hair and eyes. Italian features. No special marks. Age: 14 on Dec. 25, 1900; received June 9, 1900. Born: Italy of Italian parents. Catholic. Father intemperate, mother not intemperate. 1 older brother, 1 younger brother; 3 younger sisters.
