Does not attend school, keeps bad company, and is incorrigible. His father has abandoned him. (signed Ella M. Sheetz, 291 Beaver Ave., Allegheny Samuel F. O'Brien, Agent of the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, deposes that Charles has been locked up in the station house several times for sleeping out at night and not staying at the News Boy Home. Additional Comments: Notes made upon the boy's arrival at the Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza, Pa.: Charles Sheetz, No. 5548, Division A. Parents separated. Father John L. Sheetz a laborer living at Woods Run, Allegheny, Pa. Mother Mrs. Ella M. Sheetz lives at 791 Beaver Ave., Allegheny, Penna. Sent here for disobedience. Height 4'3", weight 55 pounds. Brown hair, blue eyes, medium complexion, no marks. Age 10 on March 23, 1898; received July 8, 1898. Born in Pa. of American parents. Presbyterian. Father intemperate, mother not intemperate. Parents do not own property. 1 older brother, 1 older sister. Can read & write. Swears, lies, uses tobacco. Does not steal, is not intemperate. Has not been arrested before.
