He has rendered himself beyond her control. He is impudent & devilish and will not obey me. (signed) Mrs. Sophia White, No. 14 Climax Street, Pittsburg. Wesley Bottles, uncle of Roy Acklin, deposes the same. (signed) Wesley Bottles, 14 Climax St. Additional Comments: Notes made at time of the boy's arrival at Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza: Roy Acklin, #5722, Division E: Father dead. Mother, Mrs, Sophia Acklin, a washerwoman living at 14 Climax St. Baltzhoover Pittsburg, Pa. Sent here for disobedience and general bad conduct. Description: height 5' 3 1/2"; weight, 108 pounds. Brown hair, gray eyes, medium complexion, scar from rought cut on back of right thumb. Three vaccine marks on left arm, small round scar on front of right leg above knee. Age 14 on June 1, 1899; received July 20, 1899. Born Penna. of American parentage. Presbyterian. Mother not intemperate, owns no property. 1 younger sister. Can read and write. Lies, uses tobacco.
