Complaint made before George W. Given, Alderman of Pittsburg, by Michael 
Reinhard, step-father of Charles Kolp, 10 years old.  
   Frances Fausnaught of Pittsburg deposes that Charles Kolp is very bad, stays 
out at night, and steals money from his parents.  (signed) Mrs. Frances 
Fausnaught, 4304 Main Street, Pittsburg
   Mary Sauer testifies the same.  Signed by mark; 4304 Main St., Pittsburg.
   John Hamm Sr. testifies the same.  Mound at Bara
May 20, 1897:
   Michael Reinhard, stepfather of Charles Kolp, deposes that he stays out all 
night and at times comes home late and breaks the locks of the door to get in 
the house.  He steals money frequently.  Infant was born on May 24, 1887.
   Mrs. Caroline Reinhard deposes that she is the mother of Charles Kolp and 
testifies the same.
   Miss? Frances Fausnaucht corroborates statements of parents.

Notes made at the time of the boy's arrival at Pennsylvania Reform School, 
Morganza:
   Chas. Kolp, No. 5376, Division A.  Father dead.  Mother remarried to Michael 
Reinhart works in a brewery.  Lives at 4304 Main St., Pbh, Penna.
   Sent here for taking money from father, staying out at night
   Description: height 4' 1 1/2"; weight 60 pounds.  Light hair, light brown 
eyes, fair complexion, one vaccine mark on left arm.
   Age 9 on May 26, 1897; received May 20, 1896 (sic).  Born Penna. of German 
parentage.  Catholic.  Both parents intemperate, do not own property.  2 
younger sisters.  Can read and write.  Swears, lies, steals.  Does not use 
tobacco, is not intemperate.  Has not been arrested before.
