Brown buwbrown@comcast.net September 11, 2008, 10:29 am Complaint brought before Thomas J. Blain, Alderman of McKeesport, by John Honryak, father of John Honryak Jr., born June 15, 1885. On March 15, 1898 John Honryak Jr. was released from your school and since that time has been beyond control. On Jan. 26, 1899 he was caught in the act of robbing a store room in this city. Joseph Peck of McKeesport deposes that John Honryak Jr. is uncontrollable. He has been implicated in a number of robberies committed in this vicinity, the latest on Jan. 26, 1899. Joseph A. Stone, Chief of Police of McKeesport, deposed the same. Additional Comments: Notes made upon the boy's arrival at Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza: Jno. Hornyack Jr., No. 5653, Vivision C. Parents living at McKeesport, Pa., 105 Strawberry Alley. Father, Jno. Hornyack, a laborer. Sent here for robbing several stores at McKeesport. Description: height, 4'8"; weight, 83 pounds. Brown hair, hazel eyes, dark complexion, pug nose. 2 vaccine marks on left arm. Age 14 on Apr. 22, 1899; received Jan. 30, 1899. Born in Austria of Austrian parentage. Presbyterian. Father intemperate. 3 younger brothers. Can read & write. Swears, lies, steals, uses tobacco. Is not intemperate. Has been arrested before.
