Brown buwbrown@comcast.net September 21, 2008, 9:07 am Complaint made before M.G. Clark, Alderman of the City of Allegheny, by Mrs. Mattie Beatty, mother of Harry Beatty, a minor. She resides No. 367 Beaver Ave. and is mother of Harry Beatty who is 11 years of age in July next. He plays hook from school, stays out at night. I cannot believe anything he tells me. The most serious thing is that he will take anything that he can steal, my money or valuables about the house and from all the stores about the neighborhood. Norman Henderson, 33 Wooster St., Pittsburgh, says that the boy stole from his coat while he was washing, 75 cents, and afterwards admitted taking the same. He knows the boy has a reputation for stealing. Miss Rosa Davidson, 35th Ward Shalerville West End Pittsburgh, is the sister of Mrs. Beatty and has lived with the complaintant at various times during the last 2 or 3 years. Harry is uncontrollable by his mother, has stole money from me and from groceries. He plays hook from school. I have known his mother to take him to school and he would run away from the teacher.
