Trich, Alderman of McKeesport, Allegheny County, by Sarah Jane Wampler, mother of George Wampler, who was born in California, Pa., in 1885. He will not attend school, is beyond her control, refuses to work, jumps cars, threw stones at his mother. (signed) Mary Jane (sic) Wampler, her mark Ida Craig and Lizzie Reed depose the same. Additional Comments: Notes made at the time of the boy's arrival at the Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza: George Wampler, #5716, Division C. Father dead. Mother, Mrs. Sarah J. Wampler, does housework. Living in McKeesport, Pa. Sent here for being a bad boy, throwing stones at mother. Description: Height 4' 9 1/2"; weight 77 pounds. Brown hair. blue eyes, fair complexion. Rough scar from cut in right eyebrow. One vaccine mark on left arm. Age: 14. Received: July 5, 1899. Born Penna. of American parentage. Baptist. Mother not intemperate, does not own property. 2 older brothers, 1 older sister. Illiterate. Does not swear, lie, steal, use tobacco; is not intemperate; has not been arrested before.
