We received a telephone message to do some work at your place, but since then there has been a lock out among the tinners and the slaters which has kept us from going up to complete the work, but we expect in a very short time that the matter will be arranged and will then attend to it as promptly as we can. Hoping that this will be satisfactory to you... (dictated by G.R.) Below the typed letter is a handwritten message in ink: The strike has been settled this evening and will be up in a few days. Additional Comments: Printed letterhead: Office of Geo. Rome & Co., Carnegie, Pa., general hardware, stoves and ranges. Keen Kutter line of tools. Tin and cornice work and warm air heating.
