Brown buwbrown@comcast.net June 6, 2008, 12:22 pm Patrick Martin of Allegheny City to employ Peter (name changed to David) Martin, an inmate of the House of Refuge, for a period of three years, to teach him the bakery business. He will pay said Peter (sic) Martin's mother $30. the first year, $40. the second year, and $60. the third and last year, sums to be paid in quarterly installments. He agrees to furnish the boy with boarding, washing and night schooling. It is further understood that the mother is to receive the funds & that she has the boy under her instruction on Sundays.
