Sentenced to pay a fine of 6 1/4 cents to the Commonwealth, pay the costs of the prosecution and make full restitution. Sentenced to Pennsylvania Reform School until he attains the age of 21 years, if not otherwise discharged by law. Additional Comments: Notes made upon the boy's arrival at the Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza: Michael Walsh, No. 5710, Division D. Father dead; mother, Mrs. Mary Walsh, a washerwoman living at 73 Carson Street, "Limerick," Pittsburgh, Penna. Sent here for breaking into a freight car & stealing whiskey. Description: height, 5'; weight 101 pounds. Dark hair, light blue eyes, medium complexion, freckled. Scar from cut near base of right first finger. Four vaccine marks on right arm. Age: 15 years. (Birthdate left blank.) Received June 29, 1899. Born in Ireland of Irish parentage. Catholic. Mother not intemperate, owns no property. 6 younger brothers, 1 younger sister. Illiterate.
