Court of Quarter Sessions of Allegheny County, June 1899; Judge McClung.  Peter 
Schultz pleaded guilty of larceny & receiving stolen goods.  Sentenced to pay a 
fine of 6 1/4 cents to the Commonwealth, pay the costs of the prosecution and 
make full restitution.  Sentenced to Pennsylvania Reform School until he 
attains the age of 21 years, if not otherwise discharged by law.

Notes made upon the boy's arrival at the Pennsylvania Reform School at Morganza:
   Peter Schultz, No. 5711, Division C.  Father dead; mother remarried to Tony 
Brown, a laborer on Pan Handle R.R. living at 40 West Carson St., Pittsburgh, 
Penna.
   Sent here for stealing whiskey from a freight car.  
   Description: height, 4'8"; weight 87 pounds.  Brown hair, blue eyes, fair 
complexion, small scar below and back of right ear,  Two vaccine marks on right 
arm, scar from cut on point (sic) of large finger left hand.
   Age: 14 on Apr. 4, 1899; received June 29, 1899.  Born in Germany of Polish 
parentage.  Catholic.  Stepfather intemperate, mother not intemperate.  Parents 
own no property.  1 younger brother, 2 younger sisters.  Illiterate.  Swears, 
lies, steals, uses tobacco.  Is not intemperate.  Has been arrested before.
  
   Sent here for breaking into a freight car & stealing whiskey.
   Description: height, 5'; weight 101 pounds.  Dark hair, light blue eyes, 
medium complexion, freckled.  Scar from cut near base of right first finger.  
Four vaccine marks on right arm.
   Age: 15 years.  (Birthdate left blank.)  Received June 29, 1899.  Born in 
Ireland of Irish parentage.  Catholic.  Mother not intemperate, owns no 
property.  6 younger brothers, 1 younger sister.  Illiterate.  Steals, uses 
tobacco.  Does not swear, lie.  Is not intemperate (once).  Has not been 
arrested before.
