STEEL CEMETERY WALLEY CEMETERY WHITE-SHAKLEY CEMETERY ____________________________________________________________ BINKERD CEMETERY Perry Township, Armstrong County, PA Location: Northwest of the Miller's Eddy road (legislative route 03113) where it leaves Queenstown-Petrolia road (03029), the Perry Township road maintenance building is on the site of a barn built by John Binkerd around 1840. Of the numerous family burials that took place above the creek behind the barn only a few markers remain. Binkerd McCOY, Susannah d. 21 Oct 1859, aged 36 yrs., 1 mo., 9 days, w/o Andrew McCoy ____________________________________________________________ CRAWFORD CEMETERY, Perry Twp Location: Crawford Cemetery was in use from 1846 to at least 1986, when the transcription below was made. At the point where the Roseville Road (legislative route 03028) touches the boundary between Bradys Bend and Perry Townships, go north toward Criswell on township road T332. Opposite the Iva Hicks residence look for a large evergreen tree on the hillside east of the road. A grassy lane leads to the cemetery, which is fenced and well-maintained. (In this transcription first names of persons with the same surname have not been alphabetized. They are in a wooded area near the top of "Hiles Hill" along the Roseville Road (legislative route 03028). Walk 1/2 mi.to cemetery. Several graves have sandstone markers with no lettering. One stone reads "A. P. 1826" and another is inscribed "W C 1864-8." PETER AND PAUL (MILDREN) CEMETERY Perry Township, Armstrong County, PA Location: Top of Armstrong Hill overlooking Queenstown This cemetery was sometimes called the Mildren or Meldron Cemetery after a family that once lived in the area. William Bingham and William James Armstrong laid out the burial ground in 1847 next to a Catholic church that served early Catholic settlers who farmed the land and worked in oil fields and industrial complexes. The church was torn down after the congregation merged with the present St. Patrick's parish in Bradys Bend.
