Beatty on State Street, Dayton, on Thanksgiving day. A bountiful feast to which all contributed was enjoyed by those present. Those present were Mrs. Mattie Wilson, who is 88 years old, enjoying the part as much as anyone present; Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Beatty and children of Dayton, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Beatty and children Eugene and Evelyn of Vandergrift; Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Hauser of Knox; Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Beatty and children Raymond and Iva of Apollo; Pearl Beatty of Dayton; Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Good and son Oran of Dayton; Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Wilson and sons Robert and Wayne of Apollo; Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Beatty and daughters Thelma and Gladys of Apollo; Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Smith and children Paul and wife, Florence, Margaret, Maria, Ernest, Helen, Dean and Ruby of Echo; Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Smith and children Carl, Clyde, Alma, Irene, Delia, Marie and Walter of Barnards; Mr. and Mrs. Blair Rupert and Mrs. Louden of Spring Church; Percy Beatty of Apollo; Miss Dorcas Wolford of Apollo and Kenneth Bittinger of near Yatesboro. For more than thirty years Mrs. Wilson's family has met at the home of some of her children on Thanksgiving day. ================================ Unknown November 1942 FAMILY REUNITED FOR THANKSGIVING In keeping with an annual custom of many years, the descendants of Mrs. Mattie Wilson, a former resident of Wayne Township, spent Thanksgiving Day together. Many years before Mrs. Wilson's death she requested that her family and their families spend Thanksgiving with her as long as she should live. Since her death six years ago, the family has continued to gather on this day. The family now consists of six children, twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty- five sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters-in-law. Of these eighty-two members of the family, sixty-one assembled in the home of Thomas B. Beatty near Apollo on Thanksgiving Day and enjoyed a reunion and sumptuous dinner. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Beatty of Salina R.D. 1; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beatty and daughter Evelyn, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Beatty and children, Margaret, Billy and Kenneth, all of Apollo Star Route; Mrs. Irene Houser and son Arthur of Knox, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Beatty and children Raymond, Iva and Glenn of Salina R.D. 1. Rev. and Mrs. Clair E. Beatty and daughter Mary of Salineville, Ohio, Mrs. Rena Ruper and sons, Dean and Philip, Mrs. and Mrs. Clark Wilson, Mrs. and Mrs. Robert Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Beatty and daughters Thelma and Gladys, all of Apollo R.D. Mr. and Mrs. W. K.
