Bouch Reunion - August 18, 1949 The 31st annual Bouch reunion was held at a grove near the Miles Bouch home on Saturday, August 13th, with an attendance of ninety. Everyone enjoyed a short talk and prayer by Rev. White of Mahaffey. The new officers are President Ethel Dishong, Commodore; vice-president Clarence Henderson, Rossiter; secretary Margaret Bouch, Mahaffey; treasurer Harry Dishong, Commodore. The oldest lady present was Mrs. Florence Vite, 74, Curwensville. The oldest men present were Miles Bouch and William Gressley, both 69, of Mahaffey R.D.1. 125 Attend Reunion - August 18, 1956 One hundred and twenty-five persons attended the 36th annual Bouch reunion held Saturday, august 11, at Lazarri Sunset Grove on the Rural Valley-Kittanning road. A day of fun, games and renewing of acquaintances was enjoyed by all. Other entertainment included a cake walk and skating for all age groups. Officers for next year's reunion will be Elmer Bouch, president; Raymond Burket, vice president; Ruth Katinsky, secretary; Valley Nicewonger, treasurer; Mildred Nicewonger, lunch committee; Lena Burket and Bill Bouch, entertainment. Winners during the afternoon's activities were ages 2-6, candy pick-up, Sally Lowers; age 7-10 girls, blowing balloons, Barbara Bouch; age 7-10 boys, blowing balloons, Billy Bouch; age 11-15 girls, bobbing for apples, Lucy Bouch; age 11-15 boys bobbing for franks, David Burket; age over 16 girls, carrying feathers on a plate, Lois Love; age 16 over boys, bobbing for apples, Merle Bouch. Married women, putting beans in milk bottle, Dora Weiser; married men, throwing eggs, Oscar Bouch and Vol Lowers; table prize, Wilma Ehrhart; guess cake, Sadie Klingensmith; guessing bean jar, Minnie Coon; doll raffle, Laura Lowers. Eldest person attending, Mrs. Parks Bouch (79 yrs.); traveled the farthest, Elmer J. Bouch and family; youngest child attending, Anita Marie Klingensmith (3 months); closest birthday, David Burket; eldest lady driver, Mrs. Ada Hooks (76 years old). The reunion will be held on the second Saturday of August at the same Grove for 1957.
