Beatty, 89, Main St., Salina, died in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights at 5 a.m. today. Born on October 19, 1881 in Armstrong County, he was a son of Robert E. and Hannah Stuart Beatty. He was a member of the Apollo United Presbyterian Church, and served as an elder at the church. A retired farmer, he was a 50-year member of the Bell Twp. Grange, 1756, His wife, S. Alice Beatty, preceded him in death on April 3, 1969. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Thelma Beatty and Miss Gladys Beatty, both at home. Friends will be received at the Bodenhorn and Shaffer Funeral Home, 310 S. Second St., Apollo, from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, and from 10 a.m. to the time of services at 1: 30 p.m. on Friday with the Rev. Stanley Boughton in charge. Burial will follow in the Glade Run Cemetery, Dayton.
