He was born April 20, 1919 in Parkwood to Walter Glen & Ruth Olive (KING) BLACK. He was a retired truck driver for Kopper's Company in Petrolia ad a U.S. Army veteran in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Emmaline (JOHNS) BLACK; four sons, James of Tazanier, Fla., William of Elderton, Howard of Ford City and Alan of Spokane, Wash.; five daughters, Ruth ALWINE of Butler, Mrs. Gerald (Louise) KING of Ligonier, Mrs. Michael (Maxine) MULLINS of Wheatridge, Colo., Mrs. Terry Lee (Dene) SZUL of Yateboro and Mrs. Fred A (Mary Frances) Cessna of Kittanning RD5:, one brother, Blair Eugene Black of Valpraiso, Ind.; one sister, Grace CRILEY of Fenelton RD1; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dora HEPLER. BLACK - Friends of Arthur Glen "Blackie" BLACK, 70, of Worthington RD1, who died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1990, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Jonathan Speck officiating.
