He was 89 years of age. Friends will be received in the Frank O. Bly Funeral Home in Dayton from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today. The Rev. Milton E. Whiteman will officiate at services Thursday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m., and interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Himes was born in Redbank Township, February 15, 1885, the son of Amos Joseph and Amanda Jane Snyder Himes. He was married December 26, 1908, to the late Cornie Eldora Brosious, who died January 18, 1963. Mr. Himes, a retired farmer and coal miner, was a member of the Porter United Methodist Church. Surviving relatives include three sons, Boyd Himes R.D. 1, Punx'y; Lee Himes, Punx'y; Merle Himes, Wireton, Pa., two daughters: Mrs. Floyd Pearl Bish, R.D. 1, Reynoldsville; Mrs. Kennedy, R.D. 4, Punx'y; 18 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters: Mrs. Alfred Bess Mauren, R.D. 2, Dayton; Mrs. Boyd Pearl McElravy, Warren, Ohio, and three brothers: Barthalow G. Himes, Dayton; Eisgel E.
