She was born Feb. 28, 1916 in Wayne Township to Boyd and Cora (Smith) Doverspike. Mrs. Hollenbaugh, a homemaker, along with her husband, owned and operated a dairy farm in Wayne Township. She was a member of the Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the church's women's associations and Sunday school. She was a 1933 graduate of Dayton High School. Her hobbies were gardening and sewing. Survivors include two sons, William F. Hollenbaugh and Edward A. Hollenbaugh, both of Dayton RD1; one daughter, Garnet L. Houser of Denver, N.C.; one grandson, James Houser; two granddaughters, Pam Gibson and Mrs. Ray (Chris) Caldwell; one great-granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia Bender of Pittsburgh and Evelyn MacQuarrie of West Palm Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Arthur Hollenbaugh, who died April 23, 1975; and two sisters, Mildred Doverspike and Mary Wilson. HOLLENBAUGH - Friends of Helen (Doverspike) Hollenbaugh, 87, of Dayton RD1, (Wayne Township), who died June 8, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 E. Main St., Dayton. Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday with funeral services at 11 a.m. at Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church with her pastor, the Rev.
