DEATH COMES AT 101 -Mrs. Christine Houser, 95 years Resident of Armstrong 
County, Dead
Dateline Kittanning, PA., Jan. 9 1906 "Grandmother" Christine Houser, age 101, 
the oldest resident of Armstrong county, is dead at her home near Goheenville, 
Wayne township. She was born in the Ligonier valley, Westmoreland county, Sept. 
4, 1804 and when 7 years old walked from her birthplace with her parents to the 
place where she died, having lived there continuously for 95 years. Her father, 
Henry Clever, while still a youth, was the only member of his family to escape 
death in an Indian massacre in the Ligonier valley.
