Simpson, a well-known resident of Armstrong County, died in a hospital in Buffalo N.Y. on his birthday, October 24, 1927. He was exactly 73 years of age. Mr. Simpson was formerly Treasurer of Armstrong County and numbered his friends by the hundreds. He was of a jovial disposition and, although he had not been in the best of health for some time, yet his death came as a shock to his many friends. Deceased was a bachelor and is survived by one brother and one sister, Hugh of Ohio, and Mrs. Richard Montgomery of East Brady. His home was at Van Buren, Armstrong County, and he was buried from there on Friday following his death, interment being made in the cemetery at East Brady.
