Sergt Jerome Brooks
12/10/1840 - 08/17/1875

Comment: The dates for this stone are only a guess as much of 
the inscription is too worn to read, The record book for the 
cemetery lists this stone as illegible,Jerome Brooks 
information is difficult to find, On Ancestry he is shown as 
a Civil War soldier from Allegheny County, He is listed as a 
Sergeant in Co D of the West Virginia 5th Cavalry,a farmer 
who enlisted at Martinsburg on June 14,1861, On January 
5,1864 he re-enlisted as a Veteran Volunteer,being 
transferred to Company H of the 6th WV Cavalry, No census 
records or family trees were found for him.
