M. (Mack) Beatty and Miss Cora Estella Wilson were married by the Rev. George W. McIntyre, D.D., then pastor of the Glade Run Presbyterian Church at Dayton. The ceremony was performed in the manse. They resided in and near Dayton until 1939 when they went to Ohio and spent a year with a son. Returning to Pennsylvania in 1940 Mr. and Mrs. Beatty have lived in and near Vandergrift. They now make their home with their son Oscar Beatty, at 132 Jefferson Avenue, Vandergrift. For many years Mr. Beatty was an active worker in the Armstrong County Sunday School Association, holding various offices. Mr. and Mrs. Beatty are the parents of seven children. One daughter, Pearl, died in 1937. Their living children are Oscar and Roscoe Beatty, (twins) of Vandergrift; Mrs. Irene Houser of Knox; Dale Beatty of Salina; Dwight Beatty of Avonmore and Rev. Clair Beatty, a Presbyterian minister, of Columbus, Ohio. They have 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A grandson, Corporal Harry S. Beatty was killed March 12 this year in an automobile accident in Albuquerque, N. M. Mrs. Beatty, who is 73 years of age, enjoys fair health. Mr. Beatty, who will be 77 in April has been in failing health for some time. The children and their families will hold a dinner in the Beatty home tonight.
