The couple were married Aug. 9, 1913 at Dayton. All of their children were present to help them observe the anniversary. They are the parents of one daughter, Ida, Gibsonia; and seven sons: Earl, Dayton; Roy, Pittsburgh; Merle, Wellington, Ohio; Melvin, Reynoldsville; Ellis, Erie; Andy, Meadville; and Robert, who hosted the dinner. A daughter, Ruth, died in 1959. Mrs. and Mrs. Himes have 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. They have resided in Rochester Mills for 32 years, and prior to that had lived in Dayton for 31 years. ========== Unknown 1981 "COUPLE MARKS 68TH ANNIVERSARY Rochester Mills A Rochester Mills couple, Eincle and Arminta Himes, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 9. They were married in 1913 by Mr. Himes uncle, Squire George Himes, in the bride's home at Dayton RD 1. They are the parents of one daughter, Ida, of Gibsonia; and seven sons: Earl, Dayton; Roy, Pittsburgh; Merle, Wellington. Ohio; Melvin, Reynoldsville; Ellis, Erie; Andy, Meadville; and Robert, Rochester Mills. A daughter, Ruth, died in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. Himes have 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. They have resided on their farm in Rochester Mills for 37 years, and prior to that had lived in Dayton for 31 years."
