We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ______________________________________________________________ Enoch Buffington of Redbank Township Know all men by these presents that I Enoch Buffington of Red Bank Township Armstrong County and State of Pennsylvania farmer being of feeble health but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And as to my worldly estate and all the property real and personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise bequeath and dispose thereof in manner following to wit. First my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses of my self and my wife hereinafter named including suitable tomb stones shall be paid out of my estate as soon after my or both of our decease as shall be found convenient. Item, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Lydia Buffington all my household furniture and bedding two cows two sheep and two hogs the choice thereof for and during her natural life if she shall so long remain my widow also the income and use of my farm where I now reside situate Red Bank township Armstrong County and State of Penna. Adjoining lands on the North of Wm Booser on the east by L.M. Buffington and L.G. Himes on the south by Saml Himes heirs and on the West by Jacob Troutman containing eighty five acres more or less to have to hold and control the same for and during her natural life if she so long remains my widow the several devises and bequests to my said wife to be for and in lieu of her dower she may have in any other real or personal estate I may die seized. I give and bequeath to my son Wm Buffington seventy five dollars to be paid to him in money out of my estate to be in lieu of a house he was to have and did not get the same the like amount I have given to all the rest of my children either in stock or in money also to my son John Buffington thirty five Dollars balance due him on a horse. I do give and bequeath to my son Levi Buffington and to his children after his decease the piece or tract of land where he now resides formerly the East end of the farm where I now reside situate Red Bank township Armstrong County and State of Penna adjoining lands on the north of Isaac Rittinger Sr. on the East Jacob Kule on the south Elias Kunselman and on the fourteen acres and to the value of the sum of Four hundred and twety Dollars ($420) to be accounted for as hereinafter provided against him my said son Levi Buffington and that he is not to receive any further share out of my estate until all the rest of my children have received each the same amount out of my estate esclusive (sic) of any bequests to any herein before granted or made all the rest and residue of my real and personal estate. I direct to be sold including the personal real estate bequeathed to my wife Lydia Buffington the bequests to my wife after her decease and the proceeds thereof including moneys notes and thereof to be paid to all my legal heirs and representatives share and share alike less three hundred dollars to my daughter Mary Shaffer already for above paid and less Four hundred and twenty dollars to my son Levi Buffington for above real estate bequeathed to him and less eighty dollars to my son Jacob Buffington already paid. And lastly I do nominate and appoint my son Wm Buffington to be the executor of this my last will and testament and that my said executor have full power to sell real and personal estate as directed and make and deliver good and sufficient Deeds for any real estate he may sell to the purchaser or purchasers thereof. In testamony whereof I the said Enoch Buffington have to this my last will and testament contained on three sides of two sheets of paper and every side therof subscribed my name and to this the last side subscribed my name and affixed my sealt this Seventh day of January A.D. 1881. Hays Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the county aforesaid Joseph Shick and Nathan Hetrick the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn according to law do say that they were present and saw and E. Buffington the testator within named sign seal publish pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief Sworn and Subscribed before me } Joseph Shick This 23 day of December A.D. 1885 } Nathan Hetrick H.J.
