  In the name of God, Amen
  
  I, John Dougherty, of South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County and State of 
  Pennsylvania, considering the uncertainty of the nortal life and being in a 
  declining state of bodily health but of sound mind and memory, thanks to the 
  almighty God for the same fo hereby make and publish this my last will and 
  testament hereby revoking and making void all wills by me at anytime heretofore 
  made.
  first and principally I commend my soul to God who give it and my body to the 
  ground from whence it came to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner---
  ------And as to what worldly estate it hath pleased God to interest me with I 
  dispose the same as follows: viz
       To my beloved wife Margaret I give and bequeath all my loose property 
  (except two colts-one, one year old and the other a last spring colt, my rifle 
  gun, and the farming materials) during her natural life, also all the monies I 
  may have coming to me after my deceased after my debts and expenses are fully 
  paid the she to retain or have the balance except the following requests. 
       To my daughter, Mary Easly, I bequeath two dollars in cash together with 
  the piece of land I conveyed to her by deed dated October 1856 is her full 
  share of my estate both real and personal. To my daughter Eve Ann Atkinson I 
  give and bequeath two dollars in cash together with the ten acres of land I 
  bequeathed to her by deed dated sometime in 1856 as her full share of my estate 
  both real and personal.
       To my daughter Nancy Atkinson, I bequeath two dollars in cash together 
  with the ten acres of land I conveyed to her by deed dated in ? October as her 
  full share of my estate both real and personal. To my daughter Rebecca Smith, I 
  bequeath tow dollars in cash together with the ten acres I conveyed to her by 
  deed in 1856, the balance of my farm I leave in the care of my wife if she 
  should survive me during her lifetime her lifetime, and at her death it is my 
  will that it decend to my son Joseph Nicholson, upon condition that he stay on 
  the farm and farm it and take care of his mother while she lives.
       Also to my son Jodeph Nicholson, I give and bequeath the colts above 
  mentioned, the farming utensils, adn my rifle to be under the care of his 
  mother until he is twenty one years of age if she should live so long. It is my 
  will that at the death of my wife all my personal property decend to my son 
  Joseph Nicholson Dougherty but she to have control of it during her lifetime. 
       I do constitute and appoint my wife and my neighbor, John Boyd, executors 
  of this my will and testament to which I have hereunto at my house and seal 
  this 17th day of December A.D. 1856

  Sealed, signed, published and declared by John Dougherty the testator as and 
  for his last will and testament in the presence of us at his request and in the 
  presence of each other have put our names as witness.
