Armstrong Co. Wills, 1878, Vol 3, Page 277, Estate # 3557 Isaac Silvis of Allegheny Twp. The last Will and Testament of Isaac Silvis of the Township of Allegheny, County of Armstrong and State of Penna. I Isaac Silvis Considering the uncertainty of this Mortal Life and being of Sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manor and form as follows to wit First of all I give my sole to God through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior of the World and my Body to the Earth from whence it came next my will is that all my Just debts shall be by me Owing at my decease together with Funeral Expenses and all reasonable charges of prooving this my Last Will and Testament shall first be paid from the proceeds of my Estate. Next I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Catherine Silvis all my household and kitchen furniture Beds, Bedding & whatsoever my be in the house, one cow, two hogs and all my Chickens. Next I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Catherine Silvis that certain message tenement or piece of Land containing Seventeen Acres more or less being the same piece I purchased from my Son Levi Silvis with the appurtenances Situate in Allegheny Township and County of Armstrong Adjoining Lands of A. J. Allshouse and Others to have and to Hold for her use during her life time if she shall remain in my name but If she should marry then it shall be sold by my Executor inside of One year. Next provided she doth not marry in her Lifetime then in that Case it shall be sold inside of One year from her death by my Executors at Public Out cry first giving due and timely notice of sale. Next the remaining part of my personal property Shall be sold by my executor inside of Thirty days from my decease according to Law and the Residue of my Real Estate Shall be sold by my Executor hereinafter named inside of One year from the time of my Decease at public Outcry, first given due and timely notice of the sale and the One Third of the purchase money shall be paid in hand and one third in one year from the time of the sale and the remaining Third part at the death of my beloved Wife Catharine Silvis but provided if she should marry then at the Day of your marriage. Next my Will is that my beloved wife Catharine Silvis shall have the Interests from the One Third to be sold of my Real Estate during her provided she shall so long remain in my name. Next my Will is that all my Legal Debts as shall be paid by my Executor form the first money coming into the hands of my Executor from my Estate. Next my will is that my Executor hereinafter named shall pay the residue of the money arising from the sale of my Estate or otherwise as it come due and as soon as it can be collected thereafter unto my Legal Representatives as follows: I give and bequeath unto my Son Levi Silvis One Eight part. I give and bequeath unto my Son Valentine Silvis One Eight part. I give and bequeath unto my Son Morrison Silvis One Eight part. I give and bequeath unto my Son James M. Silvis One Eight part. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Mahaffy One Eight part. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Gorman One Eight part. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susan Remaley and Albert Stewart the One Eight part to be divided as follows between them two thirds unto the said Susannah Remaley and one third unto Albert Stewart my grand son. Next I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Clara Klingensmith Heir of my Daughter Virginia Lucinda Silvis who has died and left surviving her the said Clara Klingensmith the one Eight part to be paid to her at the age of twenty one and I hereby Appoint Jonathan Myers Sole Executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made in Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Sixth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Six. his Isaac X Silvis {seal} Mark Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Isaac Silvis to be his last Will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto. Allshouse the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Last Will and Testament of Isaac Silvis Late of Allegheny Twp. Deceased and on their solemn Oaths or Affirmations did say that they were present and did see and hear Isaac Silvis the Testator Therein named sign his name to the foregoing Instrument and heard him declare and publish the same as and for his Last will and Testament and at the Time of so Doing was of Perfect sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
