In the name of God Amen I Yost Smith of Redbank Township in the county of Armstrong and state of Pennsylvania, being weak of body but of sound disposition mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And first as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of the same as follows: first I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible out of the first moneys that shall come into the hands of my executors from any portion of my estate real or personal. Secondly I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Magdalena one cow one stove and one chest or bureau which she shall choose and one clock and case and six knives and forks six spoons six plates six tea cups + saucers two iron pots one copper tea kettle two of the best water buckets in the house one coffe pot two bowls all of which she shall choose her self out of my personal property likewise that she shall have one side saddle and one good bed and bedding and four coverlids and all her clothing and one eight gallon kettle and one new tub. And it is also my will that my beloved wife Magdalena have one third of the proceeds of my personal property wich I own and it is also my will that each and every of my children do during the natural life of my beloved wife Magdalena give her the sum of ten dollars yearly for her suport and maintenance. And it is also my will that my executors hereinafter mentioned do provide a comfortable and convenient house for her to live in during her natural life and to find her a suficienty quantity of fire wood at the expense of my said children equaly. And it is further my will that should any of my said children be unable to pay the aforesaid amount of ten dollars per year for the suport of my said wife Magdalena that so much as may by inability of any of them be wanting that that amount shall be made up for her out of the proceeds of the farm on wich I now live. In the next place I give bequeath and devise all my real estate of whatsoever kind and wheresoever situated unto my daughter Mary my daughter Susanna my daughter Christena my son John and my daughter Elizabeth my son Adam my son Jacob my son Henry and my daughter Catherin share and share alike. And it is my will that nothwithstanding the last mentioned bequeaths that no part or portion of my real estate be sold until my wife Magdalena is deceased. And it is further my will that even after the decease of my said wife that none of my real estate shall be sold until a majority of my children be agreed and in case a majority of my said children to whom I bequeathed all my real estate equaly should agree to sell the whole or part of the real estate then the same is to be sold and the money divided equaly among my said children. And it is also my will that my executors hereinafter mentioned pay as soon as practicable out of my personal property the sum of sixty dollars unto my daughter Susanna in adition to her equal share in my real estate it is also my will that my said executors pay as soon as practicable unto my daughter Christena the sum of forty dollars in adition to her equal bequeaths in my real estate. It is also my will that my executors pay as soon as practicable unto my daughter Catharin out of my house hold estate the sum of thirty dollars in adition to her equal bequeaths in my real estate that she also have her choice of the cows and five sheep. It is also my will that my daughter Elizabeth have her choice of the cows and five sheep in adition to her before mentioned bequeaths. It is further my will that all the residue of my personal property of whatsoever kind after paying the above mentioned bequeaths and my wife has got her third part thereof it be equally divided among my children share and share alike in manner that they the said children may think most advisable. And lastly I ordain constitute and apoint my son John Smith and my daughter Mary Smith Executors of this my last will and testament this third day of December AD 1835.
