Willbook #1, page 202, Estate 473 Will of Jacob Wolf Sr., Sugarcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., PA 1838 In the name of God Amen I Jacob Wolf Senior of Sugarcreek Township in the County of Armstrong and State of Pennsylvania yeaman though reduced to a low state of body by strength yet being of sound mind memory and understanding and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life have thought fit to make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say first I Recommend my soul into the hands of god and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent like manner and respecting the worldly Estate and Effects wherewith it has pleased God to bless me. I dispose of them in the following manner: that is to say it is my last will that my just debts and my funeral expenses be paid by my executors herein after named as soon after my decease as conveniently may be and that as soon as possible a true inventory and appraisement may be taken of all my moveable and Effects outstanding debts and further personal property which said effects and property are to be sold at public sale and the money arising from the sale thereof is to be applied to pay my just debts if any should be after my decease and the remainder if any there should be left shall be equally divided among all my children shear and shear alike and it further my will that my beloved wife Christina shall have and keep for her selve through her natural life or as long as she remains my widow two beds and bed cloath which she will chose two cows four sheep her spinning wheel the Rue hen saddles the dining table all the [?] six white plaids six pewter spoons six knifes and six forkes six tea cups and sasors and all the mettle potts kittles skillet and tea Kittle and all the buckets which shall be remaining after my decease and it further my will that my wife Christina shall have and injoy all my real Estate and to receive the comforts thereof as she retains my name. And in case my wife should marry again then in that case the real estate shall be vested to my children on if she do not marry again as soon after her decease as my be done my executor shall sell my Real estate at public sale or out cry or funeral sale as they shall think proper and the money arising from the sail thereof shall be equally divided among children namely George, Jacob, Mathias, John, David, Joseph and Solomon and my daughters Elizabeth and Christina share and share alike and I do hereby appoint my two sons George and Solomon as my Executors of this my last will and testament. Sipes the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn according to law did depose and say that they ware present and seen and heard Jacob Woolf the testator sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the forgoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of so doing he was of perfect and sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge observation and belief.
