Feb. 1835 This indenture made the twenty-fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty?four between John McCONAHY of Shenango Township, Beaver county, Pennsylvania Barbary his wife of the one part & Laughlin McCONAGHEY of the County and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John McCONAHY & Barbary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars to them in hand paid, by the said Laughlin MCCONALY at or before the ensealing & delivery hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge & thereof forever discharge the said Laughlin McCONAHY by his heirs and assigns and by these presents have granted, bargained, sold, aleined, enfefoffed, released, confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, release, and confirm, unto the said Laughlin McCONAHY & to his heirs and assigns, the one half of that certain, tract of land situate in Beaver County Shenango township in the first District of the donation Land Beginning.... At a post, & white oak running north by lot No. 39, one hundred & thirty perches to a post, & white oak, thence west by Lot No. 96 Two hundred & sixty One perches to a post & Black Oak, thence South by lot No. Ten one hundred & thirty perches to a post & black oak, thence East by Lot No. 38, two hundred & sixty one Perches to the place of the beginning Containing Two acres and allowance of six percent for roads &c, Numbered 97 the same being a tract of Land Granted, by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Joseph COLLIER by Patent dated the 5 day of October 1796; for services rendered the said Commonwealth by the said COLLIER as Leuitenant, In the army of the United States & by the said last will & testament of the said Joseph COLLIER bearing date the 4th day of August 1790 begueathed to his mother, Hannah COLLIER as may be seen by the record in the Registers office at Carlisle in Cumpberland County Pennsylvania which said tract of land the same aforesaid Hanna COLLIER by her last will and testament dated at Carlisle on the 25th day of October 4, bequeathed Ann HERWICH as may be seen as filed in the Registers Office at Carlisle Cumberland County, Pa. which said tract of land aforesaid by the marriage of the said Ann HERWICH to William ARMOR became the property of the said William by his last will and testament dated at Chambersburgh Franklin County Pa. Bequeathed the same to the wife of Ann ARMOUR as may be seen by record filed in the Registers office at Chambersburgh Franklin County Pa. which same tract of land the said Ann ARMOR by the last will and testament dated at Greensburgh Westmoreland Co. 21st February 1831, did bequeath unto her Daughter Hannah Ann ARMOUR by her marriage with John McMANUS by name Hannah McMANUS, the said will bearing record, Recorded in the Recorders office at Greensburgh, Westmoreland County, Penna, and the said John McCANUES & Hannah Ann his wife did grant and sell unto John McCONAHY on the ninth day of September in 1833. All the above discribed tract of land as reference may be had to the above named Laughlin McCONALY the western half of the above discribed tract of land for the above discribed consideration. Together with all and singular the buildings Improvements rights liberties privleges hereditaments, and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging to or in any wise belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said described western half of said tract and the revorsions and remainders, rents, issues & profits, thereof, & also all the estate, right, title, interest, property, Claim, & Demand whatsoever of the said John McCONAHY & barbary his wife in Law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to or out of the said discribed Western half of the above discribed tract. To Have and to Hold the said discribed half of the said tract of land hereditaments & premises hereby granted or mentioned of intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Laughlin McCAUNALY his heirs and assigns forever and the said John McCONALY & Barbary his wife their heirs, and assigns do hereby covenant grant & agree to and with the said Laughlin McCONALY his heirs and assigns by these presents that the said John McCONAHY and Barbaray his wife, shall And and will and truly warrant and forever defend the said discribed half of the said tract of land unto the said Laughlin McCONAHEY his heirs and assigns against them the said John McCONALEY & Barbary his wife their heirs and assigns and against all and every person and the said John McCONAHEY and Barbaray his wife their heirs and assigns warrant and forever defend unto the said Laughlin McCONALHEY his heirs & assigns the above discribed half of will and truly to warrant and forever defend against their heirs and assigns and against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming the same or to the Claim the same & shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. MOTHERALL Beaver County SS: Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in & for said County personally came the within named John McCONAHEY & Barbaray his wife & acknowledged the within Indenture to be their act and deed to the end that the same might be recorded as such the Said Barbary McCONAHEY being of full & be me Examined seperate & apart from her said husband the Contents thereof being be me first made known to her as such separate examination did declare that she signed sealed & delivered the same of her own free will and accord & without any compulsion or coercion of her said husband.
