All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Donna Mohney. dmohney@westol.com Beaver County, PA Deeds Volume 19 PAGE 201-2 THOMAS MORROW TO WILLIAM MCCONOUGHY ENTERED SEPT. 8TH 1840 THIS INDENTURE made the 23rd day of April, one thousand eight hundred and forty- BETWEEN THOMAS MORROW, SR. of Shenango Township, Beaver County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of the first Part and WILLIAM MCCONOUGHY of the County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the second part- WITNESSETH: That the Said Thomas MORROW Sr. for and in consideration of the sum thirty dollars, to him in hand paid by the said William MCCONOUGHY, at and before the ensealing or delivery hereof the receipt whereof he dose hereby acknowledge, and thereof and forever discharge the said William MCCONOUGHY his heirs, executors and administrators by these presents, have granted, bargained, sold alienated, enfeoffed release and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said William MCCONOUGHY and to his heirs and assigns, all the following described piece or parcel of land situate in Shenango Township Beaver County, Commonwealth aforesaid to-wit: Beginning at a Post the south west corner of the said Thomas MORROWs land immediately on the Township line dividing North Sewickley and Shenango Townships, thence North eighty seven and three fourth degrees east by land of Peter BOOK, thirty three Perches to a Black oak sapling thence north fifty one and one half degrees west by land of the said Thomas MORROW twenty three perches to an elm tree thence North forty three and one half degrees west by land of the said Thomas MORROW twenty three perches to a post thence south two and one fourth degrees east by land of Wm. MCCONOUGHY thirty three perches to the place of beginning. Containing three acres and twenty perches neat measure more or less the same being a part of a larger tract called Amsterdam on the waters of Beaver Creek in the county aforesaid which was granted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Benjamin CHEW, Jr. by patent bearing date the 14th day of January 1805, who by his deed bearing date the second day of April, 1808, conveyed the same to the said Thomas MORROW at any place adjoining the east boundry line of the said three acres and twenty perches of land for the purpose of mining for coal. TOGETHER with all and singular the ways, woods, waters, water-courses, rights, liberties, and privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining together with the above mentioned privilege of mineing and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof. And also all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas MORROW, in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in to and out of the same. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described three acres and twenty perches of land together with the above mentioned privileges of mining hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with appurtenances together with the before mentioned privileges of mining unto the said William MCCONOUGHY his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said William MCCONOUGHY his heirs and assigns forever. AND the said THOMAS MORROW his heirs, executors, administrators do hereby covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said William MCCONOUGHY his heirs and assigns he the said Thomas MORROW and his heirs the said three acres and twenty perches of alnd together with the above mentioned privileges of mining hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said William MCCONOUGHY his heirs and assigns against him the said Thomas MORROW his heirs and assigns against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
