Muster Rolls US Army, Civil War
History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, Samuel M. Bates, 1870, Vol. 3, p. 626.  
Phillip S. Young, recruited in Beaver County, Pa., Private, mustered into 
service Oct. 29, 1861, for a three-year term of service.  Captured at Plymouth, 
North Carolina, April 20, 1864.

ARIAS - Pennsylvania Digital State Archives has: Phillip [Philip?] S. Young, Co. 
H, 101st Inf., enrolled Oct. 7, 1861 at Pittsburgh, Pa. and was mustered in Oct. 
29, 1861 as Private at Harrisburg, Pa.  He was aged 22 at enrollment, with a 
light complexion, stood 5' 10" tall, had gray eyes, brown hair and was a tailor 
by occupation, residing in Butler Co., Pa.   He was captured at Plymouth, North 
Carolina April 20, 1864.  Bates, Vol. 3, p. 626.
