  County (Pennsylvania), p. 548

  He is also listed in Military Records of Individual Civil War Soldiers, 1999, as 
  having enlisted 28 August 1861, Distinguished Service; served from the state of 
  Pennsylvania, Unit Number 2075; enlisted as a corporal on 28 August 1861; 
  enlisted in Company D, 100th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania.

  cards.  The first one, his Muster in Roll card, states that he enlisted August 
  28, 1861 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania; he gave his age as 21.  The rest of the 
  cards read as follows:

  December 31 1861, listed as left in General Hospital at Annapolis, Md. October 19
  January and February 1862, listed as present
  April 30, 1862, not stated present or absent
  May and June 1862, listed as "died in Hosp at Beaufort, SC June 30/62 (not borne 
  upon Co MO [muster out] roll)"
