Died at his residence in New Brighton, April 18th, 1862, Mr. John M’Combs, in the
84th year of his age. Mr. M’Combs was born in Lancaster County, Pa. When about
twenty years of age, he came with his parents to Washington County, Pa., and settled
near Canonsburg… His two older children, Rev. Wm. M’Combs and Mrs. Semple, have
preceded him to the heavenly mansions, while he leaves a widow and six children to
follow. May the joy of the Lord be their strength.
