John H. Uncapher, 60, 1400 Thirteenth St., Conway, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1971,
at the Rochester Hospital, Rochester, Pa. Born Sept. 17, 1910, at Irvona, he was
a son of Frank and Margaret Stiteler Uncapher. He was married in 1931 to Mrs.
Marion Carver Uncapher and was a member of the Grace United Presbyterian Church,
Ambridge. Mr. Uncapher was a retired mill worker. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.
Marion Carver Uncapher; four children: Richard, Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Mattern,
Paul, and Charles, all of Conway; a brother and four sisters: Frank M.,
Smicksburg; Mrs. Mildred Stockdale, Dayton; Mrs. Olive Peron, and Mrs. Martha
Condron, both of Indiana; Mrs. Jessie McCracken, Monaca; two granddaughters;
several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
at the Bowser Funeral Home, Plumville, where services will be held Wednesday at
2 p.m. with the Rev. Jacob B. Troutman officiating. Interment will be made in
the Smicksburg Cemetery, Smicksburg.
