All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ ________________________________________________ Bedford County, Pennsylvania Deed Book X, Pg. 376 Dated 22 March 1844, Recorded 29 November 1847 JOHN HITE & MARY (WADSWORTH) HITE his wife to SAMUEL ELLIOTT Know all men by these presents that I MARY WADSWORTH now intermarried to JOHN HITE of Bedford County & State of Pennsylvania for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to us in hand paid SAMUEL ELLIOTT of the county and state aforesaid at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain, sell, release and confirm unto SAMUEL ELLIOTT his heirs or assigns all our right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of, in, to or out of a certain tract of or parcel of land situate in Cumberland Valley Township containing one hundred & forty acres more or less joining lands of JACOB HITE & JOSEPH KELLY and others, together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the reversion & remainder rent issues and profit thereof To have and to hold the said tract of land and premises hereby granted, bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said SAMUEL ELLIOTT his heirs and assigns to the one, proper use and behoof of the said SAMUEL ELLIOTT his heirs and assigns forever and the said JOHN HITE and his wife and their heirs the said hereby granted premises unto the said SAMUEL ELLIOTT his heirs and assigns against them the said JOHN HITE and his wife and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under them or any of them. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four.
