THOMAS KELLEY to ROBERT ELDER

Know all men by these presents that I THOMAS KELLEY of Cumberland Valley 
Township, Bedford County, & State of Pennsylvania for and in consideration of 
the sum of Eleven hundred thirty dollars, sixty seven cents, to me in hand paid 
by ROBERT ELDER of the Township, County and State aforesaid, the receipt whereof 
I hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained, sold, aliened released and 
confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien release and 
forever confirm unto the said ROBERT ELDER, his heirs and assigns all that 
certain plantation and tract of land situate in the Township aforesaid and 
bounded and described as follows viz: Beginning at a stake and running thence 
north sixteen degrees east eighty perches to a forked White Oak North one degree 
West sixty six perches to a white oak, north sixty four and one half degrees, 
east one hundred and fifty three perches to a stake south forty four degrees 
east one hundred and fifty six perches to a chestnut oak south twenty five 
degrees west twelve perches to a white oak south eighty one and one half 
degrees, west two hundred and thirty seven perches to the beginning laid out for 
two hundred twenty five and one quarter acres which tract or parcel of land lies 
adjoining lands of WILLIAM PERDUE on the east MOSES WADSWORTH on the south, 
GALLIGER's tract on the west and DANIEL HARDMAN on the north with the buildings 
and improvements thereon erected (and appurtenances to the same belonging) 
standing or being; To have and to hold the said tract of land and premises 
hereby granted with the appurtenances unto him the said ROBERT ELDER his heirs 
and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever, And the said THOMAS KELLY 
doth hereby covenant to warrant and defend the said tract of land and every part 
thereof, against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or hereafter 
to claim the same by any right or title whatsoever the Commonwealth only 
excepted. In witness whereof the said THOMAS KELLY hath hereunto set his hand 
and seal this twenty seventh day of October in the year of Our Lord eighteen
