All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ ________________________________________________ Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford County, PA Deed Book G, Page. 208-209 Dated 26 March 1805, Recorded 4 January 1806 THOMAS KELLEY to DANIEL HARDMAN Know all men by these presents that I THOMAS KELLEY of Cumberland Valley, Bedford County of in consideration of the sum of forty three dollars lawful money paid to me by DANIEL HARDMAN of said county and State of Pennsylvania the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge I do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said DANIEL HARDMAN his heirs and assigns forever a certain Tract of Land lying in said Cumberland Valley joining Lands of said DANIEL HARDMAN on the East and on the West of said THOMAS KELLEY of said county of said KELLEY's Plantation Beginning at a walnut next to said KELLEY's House and from thence to an Ellam on the Ridge and from thence a straight line across the hill to his outside line the said land in quantity to be twenty acres more or less to have and to hold the said land and the said granted and bargained premises with the privileges and appurtenances thereof to the said DANIEL HARDMAN his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever And I the said THOMAS KELLEY for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators do covent with the said DANIEL HARDMAN his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully satisfied in fee of the premises that the one fee from all incumbances that I have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said DANIEL HARDMAN to hold as aforesaid and that I will warrant and defend the same to the said DANIEL HARDMAN his heirs and assigns forever and against the lawful claims and demands of any person given under my hand and seal this 26th day of March 1805. Test: JOHN DANT SR., WILLIAM KELLEY The Conditions of this obligation is as such that if the above THOMAS KELLEY his heirs Executors or Administrators do forfit said lands and premises unto the said DANIEL HARDMAN then said THOMAS KELLEY do forfit and pay the sum of eighty six dollars or else for to remain in full force and virtue according to Law given our my hand and seal this 26th day of March 1805.
